In a meeting between BEKAM President Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu and Metropolitan Mayor Fatma Şahin, collaborations that will shape Gaziantep’s cultural and academic future were discussed.

The management of the Science Education Culture Research Center (BEKAM) continues to combine its institutional vision with the strength of local governments. BEKAM President Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu paid a visit to Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin in her office. During this critical meeting, which aims to contribute to the city’s social and scientific development, discussions focused on how academic knowledge can be integrated with local government projects.

A ROADMAP HAS BEEN DETERMINED

During the visit, Mehmet Ali Eminoğlu shared detailed information about ongoing studies and research reports conducted within BEKAM. As a result of the consultations held with Fatma Şahin, a roadmap was established for education and culture projects planned to be carried out jointly. In particular, steps to increase young people’s participation in scientific processes and to strengthen the city’s cultural memory formed the main agenda items of the meeting.
